I authorize iTek Squad’s technician(s) to perform work on my computer/phone/game console, etc. (collectively “Device”). I understand that iTek’s technicians have been trained to perform computer hardware and software work, but iTek Squad is not an authorized service dealer. Further, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless iTek Squad from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise from any repair work performed on my Device, unless it is caused by severe negligence of iTek or its agent. I understand that iTek Squad is not responsible for any data loss, which may occur as a result of work done on my Device.
I expressly waive all claims against iTek Squad or any damages to this Device system or data that are incidental to the technical support rendered by iTek Squad. The liability of iTek is strictly limited to those damages to this Device system or data that are due to negligence on the part of iTek while technical support is being rendered.
Ownership: You must own the Device that you bring in for repair(s). Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian. iTek will return the Device only to its owner or to those specifically listed upon check in.
Estimated Completion Time: iTek Squad will provide an estimated completion time for your repair/install. Unforeseen circumstances may have an impact on our ability to complete repair(s) as provided in the estimate. Logic Board repairs may vary in time due to the severity or complexity of the repair. Logic Board repairs typically take between two to six weeks to complete and cannot be rushed.
Hardware Replacement: Upon finding that your Device is in need of additional hardware or software repairs not discussed previously during consultation, we will contact you to discuss options. Parts that were provided by iTek Squad are not covered under labor warranty. Additional charges may be applied. If you decide to provide any hardware or software needed for the repair, you will be charged for services rendered. Any old parts or hardware will be returned to you when you pick up the Device.
Scope of Work: iTek Squad will only perform the work agreed upon when the Device is brought in for repair. You must authorize, verbally and/or in writing, any additional work to be done.
Right to Refuse: In its sole discretion, iTek Squad reserves the right to refuse work that it believes is beyond the scope of its ability to repair. You have the right to refuse work that iTek Squad recommends to have your device working to its fullest capability. In doing so, iTek Squad will not be held liable to issues or damage caused by refusal.
Impact of Upgrades: It is the User’s responsibility to understand the impact of upgrades to the operating system and applications. Some upgrades can lead to incompatibilities and possible loss of data. These issues may not become apparent until a later date. You are responsible for contacting the manufacturer regarding compatibility issues before any upgrades.
Liability: iTek Squad’s liability for damage to your Device is limited only to any damage that is determined to be caused by negligent acts or negligent omissions. Our liability for repairs is limited to the total price of repairs. Be aware that certain repairs including but not limited to virus and malware removal, may damage software and/or data. This may require the re-installation of your operating system, applications, and/or data.
Loss of Data: Due to the process of repair, data may get damaged for loss. iTek is not responsible for the loss of any data that may occur while performing work on your Device. Attempts will be made to backup data prior to attempting repairs but cannot be guaranteed.
Privacy: iTek Squads technicians will not browse through your Device looking for data; however, they may inadvertently see data in the course of their work. Please remove any personal/private files you do not want others to see. Anything found to be contraband, illegal or suspect of illegal activity will be immediately reported to law enforcement.
Unrepairable: If Device is unrepairable, parts or hardware will be returned, with the exception of batteries, to you when you pick up the device. You will be charged for time and services rendered. If hardware is no longer wanted, you have the option to have iTek Squad recycle the items.
Battery: I understand that if my Device has a swollen or damaged battery, iTek Squad will not return the damaged compromised battery to the customer (due to safety purposes) even if I choose not to repair the device.
‘Flashed Phones’: If I get a phone “Flashed” (“Temporary Carrier Unlock”) or buy a previously “flashed” phone from iTek Squad, I understand that if I factory reset my phone, it will lock back to its original carrier; I will have to pay the full unlocking fee again if I so choose to unlock again.
Payment: Fees for services rendered are due on completion of service. Unpaid accounts are subject to collection and other legal remedies. iTek Squad reserves the right to request deposit.
Abandonment: If you do not pick up your equipment for thirty (30) days after iTek notifies you that the requested service is complete, iTek Squad will treat your Device as abandoned. Parts used in the repair will be removed. You agree to hold iTek Squad harmless for any damage or claim for the abandoned property.
Warranty: iTek Squad will demonstrate that the Device is functioning when you pick it up. The service is provided “As Is” and “As Available” and is without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied regarding the success of this technical support. The Service is provided as is and as available and will be with two weeks of warranty, either expressed or implied. Any defects or errors pertaining to the parts repaired will be corrected before leaving the establishment. I understand that technical support rendered by iTek may void manufacturer warranties for this Device. iTek does not assume any liability or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided.
